Exploring Creativity Through Projects: Unveiling the Story Behind the Scenes

Base Camp Festival India
A landmark adventure initiative by Nungshi & Tashi
Base Camp Festival India (BCFI) is the country’s first outdoor lifestyle festival, inspired by Basecamp Festival UK after twin explorers Nungshi and Tashi attended as speakers in 2016. Aimed at promoting outdoor culture and life skills, the three-day event is co-sponsored by the NungshiTashi Foundation and the Outdoor Leadership School, with a special focus on empowering girls from marginalized backgrounds by offering free entry to confidence-building activities.
Set in the scenic foothills of Mussoorie along the Tons River and a 40-foot waterfall, BCFI features hiking, trekking, wall climbing, mountain biking, adventure racing, campfires, music, film screenings, and more. This unique festival has elevated Uttarakhand’s global adventure tourism profile, drawing enthusiasts to celebrate exploration and party under the stars.
